bwfForum : A Free Website Forum Script

12-16-18

After creating the BabbleWeb website visitor comment PHP script, I realized that it could easily be extended into a website forum script. A week later, the result is bwfForm. The stucture of the bwfForum software is so conceptually simple that anyone with a rudamentary knowledge of Linux and HTML should be able to install it in less than 15 minutes. If you would like to see it in action, you can see it running on cheapskatesguide.org.

Very similar to BabbleWeb, bwfForum has the following features:

As with BabbleWeb, I decided to make the beta version of bwfForum free for anyone who wants to download it. Remember, this is a beta version, so it comes with no garantees. And, please abide by the copywrite restrictions in the "readme.txt" file--basically don't modify or sell bwfForum. You can download the bwfForum beta by clicking the "download" button below. If you use bwfForum, let me know how you like it.

Good question. I guess after 30 years of writing code and having no say over what happens to it, I'm ready for my code to belong to me. As my bwfForum code shows, it isn't hard to write this type of code. Anyone who wants to write this kind of code is free to write his own from scratch and put it on Github.
